The boxing lessons consist of cardio workout for the whole body, the arm, abdomen, quadriceps and bottom.
Typical boxing training consist of:
- 10-minute warm-up and/or stretching
- 20-minute stamina and endurance exercise such as squats and abdominal work out
- 20-minute of boxing practice
- 10-minute cool-down
Depending on your objective, we have classes for competitive sport, the self defence program, the non contact keep fit program. Our instructor will teach you the various correct foot work, body movement and punching technique in the boxing class. You get to learn the various types of punch: Jab, Hook, Cross and Upper cut. You will learn combinations of the punches in quick succession with eyes closed such that it comes naturally to you. Besides punching boxing bag for practice, you get to face your opponent with padded gloves and practice throwing combination punches.
In addition, we will teach the various types of moves from us: Duck, weave and bob. By watching your opponent body movment you will anticipate his moves and apply the moves to defend yourself

Anything to be cautious of in boxing class?
Wrist injury due to weak wrists might present a problem. This can be overcome by using the correct technique and or wrapping your wrist with tape for extra support. Learn to punch straight to avoid injuring your partner. This is especially important to punch straight after 100 consecutive punches and 20 sit-ups, with tired arms. I’ve never boxed in my life. Will I be able to do it?
If you’re not fit but health it is not a big problem. Our instructor will gradually build up your fitness over time. In fact boxing may be easier for heavier people than running as the impact on the knee are less. It’s easy to modify the exercise to suit you so everyone of all ages and fitness levels can participate.
