Muay Thai for Women
A common misconception is that Muay Thai and other martial arts are for men, and are not suitable for women. On the contrary, regular practice of Muay Thai will let women have a slimmer and fitter body, while improving complexion. Although Muay Thai Training increases muscle mass, women do not need to worry about getting “big and bulky” because the testosterone levels in most women are not high enough to support massive muscle growth.
The only difference between male and female Thai boxers is the way they react to different coaching styles. Since most women are self-conscious and are uncertain whether they are perfecting the Muay Thai moves, they need a little more encouragement and care. However, this results in them being better listeners, paying more attention to technique, and learning faster.
