Taekwondo’s literal meaning is “hand, foot way”; it’s an exciting and powerful Korean martial art known for its dynamic kicking and hand techniques. The techniques may be centuries old, but the classes are always evolving to keep pace with the rapidly changing world.
Some people try to learn taekwondo from books and videos but found them to be very ineffective; simply because they lack the guidance from an instructor who can correct their mistakes and the lack of one-on-one sparring experience which will help to sharpen one’s reflexes to react to different situations.
There are many Taekwondo classes in Singapore. How do you know which one is suitable for you? Which one will provides the most effective way for you to learn Taekwondo?
The most effective way is to join an established program/schools with certified black belt Taekwondo instructors who are patient and friendly. The right instructors should try to make the lessons fun and enjoyable and at the same time, able to motivate you to achieve your next grading objective, from a beginner’s white belt to the aspiring black belt and beyond.
